Road Trip with a Vampire by Jenna Levine

I just love when a quiet, mysterious vampire with no memory ends up on a road trip with a quirky, yoga-teaching witch who's trying to find her place in the world, which is why I really enjoyed this book. It was such a fun and unexpectedly moving read!


At first glance, it might seem like a light paranormal romance with hilarious hijinks (and yes, there are definitely plenty of those), but underneath all the laughs and magical mishaps, there’s depth. The story explores themes of self-acceptance, identity, healing, and what it means to choose your path—even when you’re unsure of who you are or where you’ve come from.

I’ve always loved the trope when characters have amnesia, and this book handled that trope well. Watching Peter piece together fragments of his past while slowly building trust and connection with Zelda made for such a heartwarming dynamic.

And I also really love the road trip trope! The forced proximity, weird little side quests, ups and downs, and the slow burn, chef’s kiss.

Even though this is the third book in the My Vampires series, it reads perfectly well as a standalone. There are a few fun easter eggs for returning readers to enjoy, but you won’t feel lost if this is your first dive into the world.
